Taptite trilobular screws form strong high quality threads in pre-drillled, punched or cored holes in ductile materials. The trilobular thread profile improves thread-forming and thread engagement within the material. The trilobular thread configuration forms and work-hardens the mating material. Furthermore, the elastic recovery of the mating material fills in the relief areas when driven into the material, providing greater thread contact. This further increases the resistance to vibrational loosening forces. The higher quality internal threads produced by these specialized screws also reduces material failure and improves holding power.

Taptite alternative thread rolling screws are available in
steel with the following head styles: flat head, pan head, truss head and hex indented washer head (slot/no slot), drives: Phillips drive, 6-lobe drive and hex head, and with either a clear zinc finish, or black zinc finish or black oxide finish. Taptite screws are also available in
stainless steel 18-8 and 410 with pan head, flat head and hex indented washer head (slot/no slot) and either phillips or 6lobe drives.
