A locking washer with teeth or prongs which extend inward from the inside edge of the washer.
This maintains essential tension and opposes any loosening influence on the fastener. The flexed
teeth absorb shock, vibration and slipping.
The internal tooth washer is the preferred lock washer when finished appearance is critical
and the teeth must be hidden under the head of the screw to avoid scratching or snagging.
Also recommended for use with small-headed screws (such as fillister).
