Set Screws - Hex Socket Drive

Manufactured to B18.3 specifications, Class 3A Threads, Heat treated alloy steel, Black Oxide finish.

Styles of Set Screws:

Cup Point: The most common style set screw. The cup tip allows for permanent and semi-permanent setting on softer material shafts.

Cone Point: A sharp point for setting on soft or hard material shafts. The deep penetration allows for greater holding power.

Flat Point: Allows for frequent resetting on hard shafts with minimum deforming and damage.

Half-Dog Point: For permanent setting, often used as a replacement for a dowel pin. The point should fit closely to the diameter of the drilled hole.

Oval Point: Used when frequent resetting required. Oval point allows for minimum deforming.
